After allowing for projected assessment growth, the corresponding averages are 5.4% and 4.2%. The forecasts are in constant 2026 dollars and exclude inflation. They concern the City’s tax levy, not the total tax bill for an individual home, and are not approved annual tax increases.

The report also identifies the forecast capital spending level as unsustainable and says reducing its scale would help limit tax levy increases and the need for debt.

With more than 30 years of experience in auditing, finance, oversight and corporate restructuring, I bring the skills to examine those commitments, challenge assumptions and press for changes. I would examine spending priorities, test funding assumptions and ask what can be phased or changed while protecting essential services. Residents deserve clear explanations of the costs and choices before commitments are made.

My professional work has involved examining financial information, identifying risks and helping organizations make difficult decisions. I was part of a team that helped turn around a financially distressed company and build it into a stable and successful business.

That experience reinforced the importance of reviewing costs early, setting priorities and checking whether decisions deliver the intended results. I would bring that same discipline to municipal spending and services.

My approach is to ask what a proposal will achieve, what it will cost, what alternatives were considered and how residents will know it has worked.

I have stopped using magnetic campaign signs in compliance with the City’s direction. I am also maintaining my decision not to use conventional lawn signs.

I accept that this may reduce my campaign visibility. I will continue reaching residents through conversations, campaign information and this website, while advocating for clearer and more proportionate election-sign rules.

If elected, I will treat this role as a full-time responsibility. I will remain accessible, examine proposals carefully and explain my decisions honestly, including when the answer is complicated.

Residents may not agree with every decision, but they should know their concerns were heard, properly examined and answered.

My outreach includes personal conversations, hand-delivered campaign information and regular website updates, with an effort to reduce unnecessary waste.
